British Airways’ new daily, year-round service connects London Heathrow with Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur with a travel time of around 23 hours. 

Melbourne is a year-round destination, with something to offer in every season. The Australian summer, from December to February, is popular for warm weather and outdoor activities, while spring and autumn offer milder temperatures and fewer crowds. 

Melbourne Airport is around 23 kilometres from the city centre. The SkyBus is a convenient way to get into the city, with regular services to Southern Cross Station taking around 35 minutes. Taxis and rideshares are also available from the airport. 

UK citizens need a visa or electronic travel authority to visit Australia. British citizens can usually apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) or eVisitor visa for tourism.
